Summary

Field Report (also shown as “Field Tech Report” on the App Store) is a mobile app for technicians to create field reports with voice notes, photos, GPS, and typed notes. Reports stay on your device. We do not operate a cloud service that stores your report content.

Information stored on your device

The app saves the following locally on your phone or tablet:

This data remains on the device until you delete the app or remove reports. Deactivating a device license does not automatically erase reports already saved on the device.

Send to Office

When you tap Send to Office, the app prepares a PDF on your device and opens your device’s Mail app. You choose whether to send the email. Report content is transmitted through your email provider, not through our servers.

Device activation (online)

If your employer uses device licensing, the app contacts our activation service (Supabase) to:

We do not upload report content, photos, or voice recordings to the activation service.

Permissions

You can deny permissions in iOS Settings; related features may not work.

What we do not do

Employers and administrators

If you received the app through your employer, your organization may issue activation codes and deactivate devices. Administrators can see activation metadata (such as code status and last check-in) but not report content stored on your device unless you email it to them.

Children

Field Report is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
